Samaritans of Wellington are seeking volunteers to help us operate our 24-hour telephone helpline. Samaritans are there to help people through the tough times in their life, whether they are struggling to cope with depression, loneliness, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, financial or work stress or any of the myriad challenges life throws at us.
Our next volunteer training course begins on Saturday 11 March 2017 in Thorndon, Wellington. No experience is required. Training will be provided. We are looking for people who are good listeners, non-judgmental and empathetic.
