Samaritans of Wellington are seeking volunteers to answer calls to our helpline for those feeling depressed, lonely or suicidal.
Samaritans are there to help people through the tough times in their life, whether they are struggling to cope with depression, loneliness, bereavement, relationship breakdown, financial stress or any of the myriad challenges life throws at us.
We are looking for people who are good listeners, non-judgmental and empathetic. No experience is required. Full training and on-going support will be provided. Our next volunteer training course begins on 11 October 2017 in Thorndon, Wellington.
